*120 minute prenatal or craniosacral sessions are not advisable for 1st time massage clients. It is preferred to be recommended by the therapist after an initial 60 or 90 minute session.
Massage Cancellation Policy
We require a valid credit card to hold all massage appointment times in case of any cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of your visit. If you need to reschedule or cancel your session within the 24 hour window or do not arrive for your scheduled massage, you will be charged a 50% service fee (based on the scheduled service price).
We ask that you please understand that when you forget or cancel/reschedule your massage session without giving a 24 hour notice we may miss the opportunity to fill that space.
Prenatal Massage contraindications
Massage Therapy during pregnancy has been shown to be beneficial for a number of common complaints such as fatigue, musculoskeletal pain, sciatica, edema, and many ailments. However, there are risks associated with specific conditions that may occur during pregnancy.
You must inform your massage therapist/practitioner if you have or have have any of the following conditions or symptoms which may make massage therapy during pregnancy contraindicated or may require your therapist/practitioner to alter the massage.
Please note, written permission from your doctor/midwife/OB prior to your service is required for you to receive massage therapy if you have any of the following conditions or if you are considered high-risk for any reason:
History of miscarriage Pre-eclampsia Multiple pregnancy
Gestational Diabetes High Blood Pressure Fetal growth retardation
Drug exposure Severe headaches Decrease in fetal movement in last 24hrs
Maternal age over 35 Genetic abnormalities Epilepsy or other convulsive disorder
Pitting edema Bloody discharge Placental or cervical dysfunction
Abdominal pain Leaking of amniotic fluid Cardiac, pulmonary, liver or renal disorders
Leaking of amniotic fluid Fever Sudden edema/swelling
Severe nausea or vomiting
**Local massage on areas with severe varicose veins and swelling are avoided due to clotting risk.
